The Fall meet of the Music City Vintage Radio Club will be held October 14th, from 7-11:30 a.m. at the Associated Builders And Contractors building, 1604 Elm Hill Pike, Nashville Tennessee 37210. For those readers that have never before had the opportunity to attend, it’s a lively mix of people who come together over a mutual love of “vintage radio” –that love extends from the twenties to the seventies and beyond, and from radio to earliest television, telegraph, phonographs, microphones and horn speakers–if it is early communications gear or about early communications gear, this is the place to talk and buy and swap and sell. There will be some judging categories of radios on display, but most will be for sale–from fully restored plug and play beauties to bargains that will benefit from time and tlc to bring back from retirement. Auction will happen before it’s all over with, too. The no-reserve sales hold some hidden gems.
The *Best* part of it, in this writer’s opinion, is getting to see all the like minded collectors, young and old, and being able to sit down and share the enthusiasm, some tips on restoration, and the combined expertise of all the collectors, restorers and traders. If its antique and electronic, you can bet someone there collects it, has it or wants it–or knows someone who does.
Load-in is available the night before. More on this as I get time–I wanted to get something on the books, as I am a latecomer to the WordPress game and this Page. Special thanks to the folks which had been supporting this page for many years for donating their time and effort to keeping this worthy endeavor alive. To quote from an older flyer: (and I should have probably led with this first line)

Should you know of a good, central location to Nashville, please speak to Larry, Bob, or Kelton. Thank you!
