Fall Swap Meet was a huge success!

November 9, 2011

Our Fall Swap Meet was a huge success.  We had 20+ vendors set up and selling some very interesting radios, phonographs, knobs and parts, as well as other related miscellaneous items.  This meet seemed to have more buyers and browsers, with a steady flow of folks stopping by all morning, as evidenced by a perpetually full parking lot.

Most of the sellers’ tables were taken and there was once again a strong turn-out for our radio contest.  Be sure to see our Spring 2012 newsletter for a complete list of contest winners.  Additionally, we had a very successful walk-around auction where there were some great deals to be had.  Capping off the event, we had a nice BBQ luncheon with food from Bar-B-Cutie.
Many thanks to all the volunteers who helped with various tasks (setting up, putting away tables, clean-up) and thanks to everyone who attended as buyers or sellers.
Remember, our club does not collect dues and membership is free.  All seller’s fees are used to pay for the meeting room rental.  If you are not yet a member or on our mailing list, contact Kelton Trammell at rktramm@aol.com to be added.  Membership information is strictly confidential and is not shared.  Member information of those who offer services such as repair or restoration will be made available to other club members if so desired.  Several folks have made donations to off-set postage/printing costs and, while it is much appreciated, it is not a requirement.
Thanks again!
